As we dive into February, I find myself aching at the thought that we have at least a month and a half of cold weather left. Here in Kentucky even as we get into April weather tends to stay on the chilly side. Lucky for us! However even the gross cold weather outside can't keep me from pretending its Spring, and the look is so simple and easy!

Step 1: If you haven't already, which I would be appalled to know, find yourself a chenille sweater. Now the trick is to find one in a COLOR. Stray from neutrals like black, grey, and white! Change it up and go for a color that is barely represented in your closet! For me, that color as any shade of pink or red. I am not really a pink/red kinda gal but I am slowly but surely incorporating it into my closet. I am particularly fond of all things blush colored currently and no telling when that will change. This particular sweater is more of a mauve/blush fusion and I am obsessed. The trick to looking Spring is colored layers. I'm talking sweaters and statement jackets, layers people!

Step 2: WHITE BOOTIES. This is the latest shoe trend and I am 100% on board. There is no such thing as "no wearing white after labor day" anymore. Toss that belief in the garbage, out of sight out of mind. Now personally I love outfits with white pants, but knowing myself I cant own any. I will ruin them within 5 seconds of putting them on. Shoes however I can manage (even though I low-key already scuffed them). These instantly add a brightness and edge to your outfit. There isn't an outfit I cant wear these with, and they are a perfect transition shoe into Spring!

Step 3: Accessories. This is the one area I am pretty bad at. I never remember to put on earrings, necklaces, bracelets (other than my Fitbit and lokai bracelets), or anything else. However, I am slowly getting a tad better. My favorite accessories, other than an amazing bag, is definitely statement earrings. They just instantly add certain pizazz to your outfit, like you didn't try until you put those earrings on. Belts are also a way to make it look like you tried harder AND they help your pants from falling down! A win-win in my book.

So there you have it! An easy 3 step guide to transitioning into Spring, even when it is still 30 degrees outside.
